EXPERIMENTS
Tactile, hands-on creating is something I find challenging and exciting. Over the past few years, I have experimented with different mediums, such as wood, metal, and photography, to create interesting artifacts.
Using a repeating wooden form, I created a functional purse with a slight edge of angst. (materials: wood, spray paint, thrifted purse)
Using the techniques of welding, I created a pyramidal form and conquered the experience gap. (materials: steel)
Inspired by sculptor Jacob Hashimoto, I sought to tackle the delicacy of paper kites and layering techniques. (materials: paper, cardboard, string, wood, thumb tacks)
Experimenting with radial symmetry, I created repetitive, abstracted forms to create an interesting wall piece. (materials: wood)
Continuing my experimentation with radial symmetry, I included more forms and a conceptual component. (materials: wood, paper)
