Inspired by a family gravestone in Upstate South Carolina, Monumentum Pro holds the historic lineage of the Riley ancestry. A family of World War soldiers and a genealogy that dates back to the 1850s overlooked amongst the other weathered graves at an unkempt cemetery. Monumentum Pro was designed to honor the spirit of a family as it fought to be remembered.
The singular letter 'R' expressed enough personality to inspire all forms of the Monumentum Pro typeface. The strong geometric strokes and incorporation of visually striking diagonals make it an effective sans-serif typeface. With four different styles, Monumentum Pro is a versatile typeface excellent for large-scale display formats.
